(Employed doing Traineeship - SIT30616 - Certificate III in Hospitality)
Coming from retail and wanting a change of career I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to do the Hospitality Course at CHP. In doing so, I have been employed by Canada Bay Club and am enjoying my new job. The course was very informative and enjoyable at the same time; also I have made new friends with whom I still keep in touch with. This course is a great opportunity for young and older people to work in an existing industry.

I can firmly endorse that the training I received from the Partial Certificate III in Hospitality has assisted me in gaining employment in that industry. Since I finished the course I gained employment at the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club as a casual gaming attendant.

The course was excellent, I previously worked in hospitality as a Chef for Qantas, but the way you have structured this course to include coffee, RSA, gambling as a hospitality course I felt it was great for anyone interested in starting in hospitality.

I have since learnt the importance of food safety, how to handle and store food safely, and all the temperatures to which different foods are to be stored and consumed. You're staff have taught me great customer service and the mannerism towards the serving of alcohol as well as the responsible service of gambling. The barista training was quite an experience since I've never worked with a commercial coffee machine.

The trainer’s collective enthusiasm and the quality of teaching for both theory and the practical training were of a really high standard. Meanwhile as someone currently unemployed, who is looking for work in the Hospitality industry yet has no prior experience, the Partial Cert 3 has given me confidence, along with real constructive content for a CV.
